Praveen K Mambalam, MD is double board certified in Pain Management and Anesthesiology. Dr. Mambalam originally hails from the East Coast where he completed his B.S. at the University of Maryland, College Park and Doctor of Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth School of Medicine. He went on to complete his residency training in anesthesiology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Now a local product of the pain management fellowship at the University of Washington. Dr. Mambalam is also an assistant professor at the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine, Washington State University.
As a recent product of American Board of Anesthesiology accredited pain fellowship, he brings a fresh perspective on the latest advances in comprehensive pain management. He believes that Chronic Pain is a disease that can be conquered with a balanced multidisciplinary approach. His interests lie in advanced interventional pain procedures and medication management.

After graduating from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, he completed his internship at Legacy Hospitals in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Hong furthered his anesthesiology training at the University of Washington in Seattle, and then at Texas Tech Pain Institute in Lubbock, Texas. He is board-certified in pain management. Dr. Hong is a preceptor for PA students at the University of Washington. He has also been on the interview admissions committee for the University of Washington School of Medicine.
Dr. Hong specializes in pain management and its related fields, such as chronic pain, spinal cord injuries, back pain, muscle spasticity, complex regional pain syndromes, and acute forms of pain. He is a firm believer in treating patients holistically and puts emphasis not only on interventional procedures, but also factors that can affect your sense of wellness like nutrition, exercise, and psychological counseling, if necessary. With his careful approach and understanding, Dr. Hong has successfully treated patients who suffer from varying degrees and types of pain for over 20 years.
Dr. Hong received the Top Pain Specialist Award in the state of Washington in 2013. He has also received the Top Doctor award from the Seattle Met Magazine continuously from 2012-2016, and then once again in 2019.
Albert Rodriguez, PA-C, MS, received his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Central Washington University and his Master’s of Physician Assistant Studies from Pacific University. He has enjoyed providing quality medical care to patients for over 10-years. In his spare time, Albert enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, weightlifting, walking/jogging and traveling.
